As the name suggests, the new BIOM^® ready+ offers quite a few plus points: The lens retainer is now adjustable, meaning that the surgeon can fine-adjust the lens as required after the system has been mounted onto the adapter plate. This makes it possible to optimally centre the fundus image.

A further plus point is the newly designed pivot joint, which now provides even greater mechanical stability when swivelling the BIOM^® ready+ in and out of its working position.

Just like the BIOM^® ready, the new BIOM^® ready+ is ideal for 3D Heads-up systems, as its optic is single-use and therefore never shows the slightest trace of use. This, together with the optimal fundus centring, ensures fundus viewing at its best.
